This web site will continue to be used for general information and important announcements.

ON-TOPIC: List messages should be directly related to Conventional Pistol shooting. Also permitted are occassional, extremely urgent "heads-up" messages about critical firearms issues, without ensuing debate and chatter. If you're going to post this type of message, please make sure that it meets the criteria (i.e., occasional, urgent/critical, and heads-up only). Responses to non-Conventional Pistol messages should be sent off-list, via personal email.

OFF-TOPIC: Messages that are not directly related to Conventional Pistol shooting, in particular "test" messages, links to web site polls, jokes, "Amen/me too" one-liners, political posturing and chest-thumping, and virus "warnings" (almost always hoaxes) are not allowed. An exception is made for certain types of Second Amendment information (see above), but Bullseye-L is not the place for personal manifestos or preaching to the choir. Insults and foul language are way out of bounds. Putting "Off-Topic" in your subject line does -not- negate this policy.

Also note that attached files are prohibited for list messages. Even relatively small attachments would place a strain on the mail server, as each attachment would be sent individually to each of the 1,000+ listmembers. In addition, the attachments are generally of interest to only a small minority of the listmembers. If you have an attachment that you wish to share with the group, post a link where the attachment can be retrieved from, or offer to email it to any interested individual listmembers.

If you are unable to abide by these rules, you will be removed from the list and can go start one of your own.
