What
am I doing wrong??
Problem Solved
(Updated 02/16/2007 See note at bottom of the page)

The system consist of ;
Traxis DBS-2550 Receiver
Hotdish 75 Antenna
Digipower SG-2100 H to H Positioner
DMS BSC321S LNB
2 each 25 foot RG6 Feed line (Radio Shack )
The system is installed in Norman, Oklahoma 73069
With very careful aiming, both azimuth, elevation, and LNB positioning,
The best signal indicated is 20 % level 73% Quality.
The dish is about seven
feet above ground.
This location was
used for a Direct TV dish with a 99% signal level.
That dish was only
three feet off the ground.
(That dish was relocated to the side of the house just above this
location.)

This is the signal from Intelsat5 TP 5
I have two of the
DMS BSC321S LNB(s). I tried them both with the
same results as shown above on the signal indicator.
I
am able to get Intelsat5 and AMC4 at about the same signal levels.
A little better Quality on AMC4. AMC 1, 5 and 6 indicates weakly
and will not lock. The quality indicator fluctuates between
zero and 40%. No go with Echostar 7, and Galaxy 10r.
Even with the low signal levels, Intelsat5 and AMC4 are useable.
Problem
Solved
After replacing the RG6
feed line with low loss RG11 with out any improvement
to the signal level and quality as shown on the Traxis DBS-2550 Receiver,
I decided it must be the receiver. I replaced it with a Fortec
Star Mercury II.

As you can see, the problem is solved. The satellites that were low or
marginal
are now very good with the readings shown above being less than
typical.
Thanks for the Help!!
